We all know the classic story of the birth of Jesus.  This is a story told every Christmas, so much so that it has its own name... The Nativity Scene.  Would it shock you to learn that many aspects of the Nativity Scene are incorrect?  We fail to realize that many traditions, songs, and stories have shaped our view of the birth of Jesus in a negative way.  When we look at the cultural context that Jesus was born into we see a story that is filled with love, community, and no stables.
