We are looking at the potential reasons for the erroneous shifts within certain denominations like the United Methodists and others through the lens of Baptist History in the 1920s among Northern Baptists. The 1922 Northern Baptist Convention was the epicenter for the modernist and fundamentalist battle as the conservatives fought to reestablish confessions within the church.
