In a society where we have both privileged/well to do and not privileged citizens and residents, governments have a social responsibility to ensure that the basic needs of their people are catered for. This episode looks at the Netherlands Social Security System and specifically benefits available under the National Insurance Scheme. In this first part, I discuss old-age pensions, survivor benefits, long-term care and child benefits.
