The New Majority Podcast

The New Majority Investor Circle | Emily Owen, Bibti App, pre-seed round

Listen Later

In our very first episode of The New Majority Podcast, we speak with Emily Owen, founder of Bibti, a mobile app focused on increasing access to public transportation for women and genderqueer people. Emily graduated from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service in the Spring 2021 cohort with a master’s degree in Global Human Development. Before Georgetown, she lived for seven years in the MENA region working in education. When she is not working on Bibti, you can find her running the trails of DC or climbing at a local gym.

In this episode, we delve into Bibti’s origin story, growth goals, and newly launched equity crowdfunding campaign. As a business that promotes sustainable and safe travel, Bibti addresses both the UN sustainable development goals #5 gender equality and #11 sustainable cities and communities. By getting to know a little more about Emily, you can get a better idea of whether Bibti is something you would want to invest in - check out her campaign here.
