The New Mexico Attorney General Rejects Governor Gun Control Order Citing Constitutional Concerns

In a bold stand for constitutional rights, New Mexico Attorney General Raul Torrez, himself a Democrat, has refused to defend Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham's executive order, which suspends open and concealed carry rights in Albuquerque and Bernalillo County for 30 days. Torrez firmly believes the order infringes upon citizens' Second Amendment rights and is "near certain" to violate the U.S. Constitution.
