In Acts 10, God sends Peter to share the gospel with a Roman centurion named Cornelius, who would be the first Gentile to believe in the Gospel. We see a new development in God's plan for the redemption of his people. He is bringing Gentiles into the church to join the Jewish believers. Peter has to set aside his old way of thinking as God transforms his perspective on who God truly cares about: all those made in his image. As the church, our mission is to continue spreading the gospel in every nation as we embrace the beautiful diversity within God's family.
