The most radical legislation ever introduced in the House of Representatives is starting to hit the news cycles. The New Way Forward Act embraces open borders and would charge the American people to bring back those deported. The December 2019 bill would radically change how our immigration system works, but not in the right way. Podcast 125 will discuss the New Way Forward Act, and how House Democrats care more about deported criminal illegal aliens than Americans.
The New Way Forward Act and Democrats in the House
Democratic Illinois Rep. Jesús García, along with several other progressive House members, introduced the New Way Forward Act in December 2019. Yet the media gave it little fanfare. The bill, among many things, calls for the decriminalization of illegal immigration. It would also make it more difficult to deport convicted criminal aliens. The power to falls to immigration judges who can nullify deportation orders. And the American taxpayer will pay for the return of previously deported illegal aliens.
Not to be considered a fringe bill, the New Way Forward Act has so far garnered 43 co-sponsors since it was rolled out late in 2019. Several immigration experts have spoken of the bill. “The New Way Forward Act is arguably the most radical piece of immigration legislation in American history. The act shields criminal illegal aliens from deportation, decriminalizes illegal entry, and creates a pathway for deported illegal aliens to return to the U.S.,” said Matthew Tragesser, spokesman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR).
House Democrats Care More About Illegals than Americans
After taking some time to read the New Way Forward Act, or H.R. 5383, one thing is clear. House Democrats care more about illegal aliens than law-abiding Americans and view criminals as victims. Forget American citizens like Jody Jones. Jones, whose brother was shot and killed by an illegal alien, attended Tuesday’s State of the Union address.
At the State of the Union, President Donald Trump honored his brother’s memory and shared the story of his tragic death. On December 17, 2018, Jody’s brother, Rocky Jones, was shot and killed by an illegal immigrant in Tulare County, California. The criminal alien who committed this brutal murder had previously been arrested for violent crimes and deported twice before.
The criminal alien was arrested in December 2018 for the sixth time. But because of California’s sanctuary state policy, he was released from jail. A few days later, he went on a 24-hour reign of terror. Injuring several people, robbing a gas station, leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase, and killing 51-year old Rocky.
