This series looks at the history on NHL Expansion, from the Original Six doubling its membership in 1967, to Seattle in 2021.
This week is part one of two, where they go all the way back to the turn on the 20th century and look at the history of the league and how it became the Original Six-- how markets were chosen in 1967 (and the collusion that lead to some of those choices)-- further markets in the 1970s, concluding with the WHA Merger (and other small movements in the 1980s) and how the actions of a particular player-agent-turned-union-head helped shape the modern age...
