An eerie adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s classic tale The Cask of Amontillado.

The story follows Montresor, a man consumed by a desire for vengeance against Fortunato, who has insulted him in some unspecified but unforgivable way. Montresor lures Fortunato into the catacombs beneath his estate with the promise of sampling a rare wine—Amontillado. Fortunato, already drunk and prideful about his wine expertise, follows eagerly.

As they descend deeper into the damp, torch-lit vaults, the mood grows increasingly sinister. Finally, Montresor chains Fortunato to a wall in a small niche and begins to brick him in alive, sealing his fate stone by stone. Fortunato’s laughter turns to horror as he realizes the trap, but Montresor finishes the wall—and the deed—without remorse.
