The brave Nigerian youths hit the streets on the 8th of October, 2020 in Lagos state Western Nigeria peacefully protesting for a better country and the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) who has for so long terrorized and killed Nigerians unjustly. What started off as a small crowd turned to a mammoth crowd across the South East, South West, South South and some parts of the Northern regions of Nigeria regardless of tribe and religion which has for so long been a weapon of destruction used by politicians to cause crisis amongst us the populace. The politicians saw this unusual unity which they dread for they know it will be their end to manipulation and became troubled. They saw everyone of us watch out for each other regardless of our religious and cultural differences and entered their coven to plan and orchestrate a means of intimidation; THEY PREMEDITATED A MASSACRE! 20/10/2020 will forever remain etched in my memory for Nigeria spilled the blood of it's citizens that very dark Tuesday. Men of the Nigerian Army were deployed to unleash live bullets on protesters whose only weapon were the Nigerian Flag which they waved in the air singing the national anthem as they were being shot at. It's been 18 days after the Lekki toll gate massacre and no one has owned up to the killings. They government are shamelessly lying through their teeth, the governor of Lagos state and the Army are contradicting themselves and justice has not been served rather they are pushing for the regulation of social media which is the tool we have used and are still using to expose their atrocities to the world. They are clearly going against Section 39 of the constitution which gives us the right to information and freedom of speech. In as much as they claim SARS has been disbanded, there are still recent reports of brutality from them which has multiplied because of the action we took against them which gets me thinking if they take our demands seriously......
