One of the most common questions people ask is, "Why don't I remember my dreams?" Many people sense their dreams matter yet wake up with only a vague feeling or fragments from the night before. If you've been listening long, hopefully you've taken the advice of inviting God to speak in your dreams before you go to sleep and waking as slowly as possible to give your mind space to recall dreams before your brain fully switches into daytime mode.

Rev. Dr. Tania Harris has a lot to say about this in her book, God Dreams, and I loved having the chance to interview her all the way from Australia.

Waking at 2:20am from a creepy spider dream led me down a path of revelation inspired by a tip from this interview with Steven Ugan! Steven's path into ministry is unique in that he began his career as a veterinarian after graduating from the University of Georgia. In 2003, he transitioned into full-time ministry at GateCity Church in Atlanta, where he has been in leadership for more than twenty years.

He has served in various roles, including leading worship and teaching in GateCity's School of Ministry, School of Missions, and Internship programs. He now helps oversee prophetic ministry and has interpreted thousands of dreams and visions. Steven mentors others in dream interpretation, offers online coaching, and teaches through his YouTube channel. He also offers seminars and workshops for churches and small groups.

I hope to spark your sense of adventure with this interview with Tony Cooke from the UK! The ways he has engaged with dream interpretation over the years is so inspiring, even though he doesn't remember many of his own dreams, ironically. Tony currently runs The Dream Academy, an online training and support community for Dreamers and Interpreters.

Trained in the prophetic and biblical dream interpretation by the late John Paul Jackson and other Streams Ministries associates, he and his wife Dwee have been training others for 25 years. Together they planted a Vineyard church in Cheltenham, UK which they led and pastored for 16 years. They then were directors of the Streams Training Centre England from 2013 until just recently.

As we celebrate the most perfect gift ever given—Jesus—I'm in awe at how much divine revelation was wrapped in dreams throughout the Christmas story. Over 2,000 later, the night life is still one of the most profound ways God reveals Himself to His creation while we are quiet, at rest and most receptive to Him. My interview with Chris Anders was sparked by a dream, making it all the more meaningful in this season of wonder and reflection.

When I met Chris, he told me he is a vibrant, active dreamer but that his dreams are mostly just crazy, so he hasn't invested much effort trying to interpret them. I kind of wish I had a dollar for every time I've heard that! Of course I encouraged him that there is probably more meaning in his dreams than he realizes, and to let me know if he ever wants to explore them further.

Not long after this conversation in passing, Chris dreamed that we were in a museum where he was showing me several exhibits that were all scenes from different dreams of his, and I was talking him through what each of his dreams meant. In the dream Chris knew he was dreaming, which typically indicates heightened spiritual perception.

With curiosity piqued, his dream became the doorway for our amazing conversation today. We decided to process his dreams through live interpretation, something I've never done on the podcast before. It is always such a joy helping others discover God in their dreams, and I'm so thankful that Chris accepted the invitation to go deeper as well as his willingness to share on the podcast!

Sebastian has taught game design as an adjunct and industry specialist at the LA Film School and the Rochester Institute of Technology. He focuses on using games to teach creative writing and coding and is currently developing a gamified curriculum to teach the basics of coding.

Sebastian is also a video game designer and I was thankful that he squeezed our interview into his busy week serving on the panel of judges for the independent game festival for the game developers conference - and as a bonus I got to learn all about his top picks for indie video games this year! There are times we know when something isn't working well in our life and what to do about it. In many cases, however, we only know there's a problem and could use help identifying root causes that aren't evident at all.

I've had 100s of significant diagnostic dreams through the years, most having to do with very practical aspects of my life that need healing, deliverance or recalibration. At first glance, these can seem confusing or annoying – our brains just processing stress or random information because they typically contain imagery from our waking lives. But these dreams are often spotlighting issues in or around our lives that need attention, or illuminating deeper places to help us see how we are really doing emotionally, relationally, spiritually or otherwise.

Have you ever had a dream where you are so tired you can't open your eyes, can't move, or are fighting and can barely throw a punch? Have you ever had a broken down vehicle dream? What about your phone or computer not working, a flood or fire in your house, church or workplace, being naked, chased or everything going wrong?

These dreams can serve as red flag warnings concerning yours or someone else's physical, mental or emotional health, a relationship, job or other sphere of life. God is so pleased with our simple act of faith of showing up and offering what we have to every situation He calls us to. It's not about performance, and yes there are others out there who know more, could share more eloquently, or have better answers to people's questions. But God is asking US to show up and share His LOVE with others – it is risky and uncomfortable, but if we will lean into the adventure, God will excite us for who we will encounter and the supernatural creativity we will experience in the process of yielding to His Spirit.

Through the summer, I have had so much fun taking dream interpretation public with dream booths. While many others are doing this type of outreach, this is a brand new adventure for our group here in Colorado and it has been so amazing! We tell people we're practicing dream interpretation and ask if they have any dreams they want to share. Many will stay and share a dream or two, which we then collaborate on interpreting and helping the dreamer discover what message God may be speaking concerning their waking life.

I'm so thankful for everyone who has ventured out with me, even if initially just observing. This outreach feels like such natural extension of this podcast, but really it's a fishing hook for connection with people – helping them feel seen, heard and loved by us and ultimately God, the Dream Giver, who loves to connect with all of us in our sleep while we are at rest and most receptive to Him. Many dreams from the park have woven their way into podcast episodes, which of course is so meaningful!

Today's interview is with someone I see several times a week, Daniel Silva. Dressed in his security uniform, he looks like a boss so you can imagine my surprise and of course excitement when I found out he's a vibrant dreamer.

Daniel was born & raised in Phoenix, AZ and comes from a family of dreamers. He joined the military in 2014 straight out of high school, then graduated from Charis Bible College worship school in 2023 and their business school in 2024. In June of this year, his biggest dream came true when he married his beautiful wife, and they are now expecting their first child!

I've had people ask me what I think about AI dream interpretation, so I have been excited to produce an episode on this topic! Today I'll use ChatGPT to interpret a few dreams people have sent in showing the difference between human interpretation and AI. I wish that I could say AI interpretations are really bad, but I have to admit they are pretty impressive! Of course there's a broader conversation and I'm not here to weigh in on the AI apocalypse, but rather share a few thoughts about using AI for dream interpretation.

You may be familiar with the 2 trees in the Garden of Eden: the tree of life and the forbidden tree of the knowledge of good and evil. When Adam & Eve partook of the 2nd tree, they were spiritually separated from God and the whole story of the world since then has been about God redeeming mankind back into relationship with Him through Jesus. Eve was tempted with the idea of "becoming like God," the primary deception being that they already were like God! In deciding to eat the fruit, she exchanged life in dependence on God for knowledge independent from Him, which equated to spiritual death.

So how does this relate to AI and dreams today? We are spiritual beings created to live in intimate relationship with our Creator, and dreams from God are spiritual encounters meant to draw us closer to Him to discover their meaning. So using AI to interpret dreams is similar to eating fruit from the tree of knowledge – seeking INFORMATION apart from relationship to God, the Dream Giver.

Spiritual encounters such as dreams aren't ever an end in themselves, but an invitation to grasp God's outstretched hand, allowing Him to lead us into an adventure He is excited to take us on, to show us great and mighty things we do not know, as the prophet Jeremiah wrote. How many times don't we take His hand? How many times do we decline His offer because we think we have more important things to do, or better ways to spend our time?
