The science of DNA is cold case killers daily. When a child is born, we take their footprints. If we as a community were really interested in catching criminals and identifying unknown remains we would start taking DNA samples at birth. Imagine in thirty years all the unidentified bodies would be identified, and rapists and murderers would be identified and sent to prison.
