Lighthouse Logs — Fexingo Horror

The Night the Sulfur Springs Hotel Never Closed

Listen Later

In June of 1997, Luna spent a week at the Sulfur Springs Hotel in western Virginia — a grand old resort built over a mineral spring, long past its prime. The place had a single permanent resident: an elderly woman named Mrs. Hollis who kept the lobby lights on 24 hours a day. Luna learned why on the third night, when she woke to the sound of water dripping in the hallway and followed it to a door that should not have opened. What she found behind that door was not a room, and the thing that spoke to her from the dark used a voice she almost recognized. A story about inherited guilt, locked corridors, and the weight of being the one who stays.
