Big Downey is a Toronto rapper. He shared his journey of struggle to fame from sleeping in staircases to moving all the way to west Hollywood. Downey previously lived in New Orleans, until the pandemic when he moved back to the Lakeshore area. He wants to inspire young people to never give up. He was inspired by Daymond John, chief executive officer of the clothing brand FUBU and television host on Shark Tank. He wrote book called "The Power of Broke" and this books reminds Downey to stay driven and hungry, the same way he felt when he first started making music and had nothing. Downey has already recorded more than 50 songs and is currently promoting his latest EP, “Big Downey Volume #1." It is available on Apple Music, Spotify and all music streaming platforms.
