Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason.

Today we’re in Philippians 2:14, and this episode is all about doing everything without complaining or arguing. The Bible says, “Do all things without complaining and disputing.” Not just the easy things. Not just the things we enjoy. All things.

Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason talk about how complaining can become such a normal part of life that we barely notice it anymore. We complain about work, school, our spouse, being single, our house, our apartment, the food, the traffic, and even the blessings we once prayed for. But complaining changes the atmosphere around us and keeps us focused on what is wrong instead of what is good.

This message is also a reminder that our attitude affects the people closest to us. When we constantly come home complaining about work, our spouse and family can begin to resent the very thing that is helping provide for the household. But when we come home encouraging, thankful, and enthusiastic, we build up the atmosphere of our home instead of tearing it down.

Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason challenge us to go an entire day without complaining. Pay attention to your words. Catch yourself before negativity comes out. Instead of talking about everything that is wrong, begin talking about the good, God’s faithfulness, and the opportunities in front of you.

If you want a better day, a better home, and stronger relationships, start by changing what comes out of your mouth. Do all things without complaining or arguing. Be an encourager, bring enthusiasm, and help make every room better because you walked into it.
