The North Avenue Irregulars is an admittedly obscure 1979 Disney family film, and an unlikely source of nuance. But not only is the movie teeming with double entendre and a delightfully 70's color palette, it's filled to the brim with wackadoo set pieces featuring pitch-perfect comedic actressing from like Cloris Leachman, Kim Valentine, Virginia Capers, the infamous Patsy Kelly, and patron saint of the podcast herself, Barbara Harris, as a ragtag group of church ladies banding together to bring down organized crime in their town. I'm joined this week by Craig Filar, a longtime listener who is responsible for bringing this movie and Barbara Harris into my life.
