The Not On Pod

The grand finale of the Not On Podcast and the culmination of four years across Not On and 5th & Dribble Studios and how appropriate that we finish it off with an audio issue 😂. Our most sincere thanks to all of our supporters, families and friends and we hope to catch you around again some time in the future! Enjoy the laughs and reminiscing. Much love from Matty B, Lach and the Sherpa ❤️ We will catch you in the next one!

The duo is back and we’re going around the grounds — from hardwood to head knocks. We dive into all things NBA (including a chaotic round of Who He Play For? that quickly goes off the rails), and settle in for a fiery chat on who really deserved the dub — the Bulldogs or the Warriors? We also take a closer look at Casey McLean’s rise and how far the young gun can go, as well as touching on a quick take on NRL26 and how the game might just be finding its pulse again. Strap in — it’s messy, mildly informed, and mostly entertaining.

All three lads back together once more and with some big news that may rock a few of you (or may not, you may not actually care that much about us and what we have to say, who knows?!). The lads rip through some ons and not ons before digging into all things football (of all varieties) and even a little bit of horse (sort of) racing. But most importantly, Lach and the Sherpa bicker over their crappy origin takes and neither ever knows when to back down... which always makes for some good listening.

Terrible twos again today. The bants aren't as extensive meaning the podcast isn't either. The lads talk all things NBA offseason, undefeated UFC champions and oval ball in both codes. The final segment is all things Origin including a little pre-week same-game multi!

The threesome only lasted so long. In protest, Matty B and Lach went old school vibes and talked all thing NBA Finals and NRL State of Origin. A bit of round ball, a bit of oval ball, and a whole lot of dribble and yarn. Get in your time machine and head back to the old podcast days!

All three lads back together and maybe not the worst audio for a remote show this time, despite Lach still not getting his audio recordings right! The lads quickly go over the week of sport that was from the round ball game, to the oval ball game, to the world game and to every variety of hockey you can think of, plus tips on how to be a hard core amateur team manager and how to be the stingiest friend in your group! Tune in for all this and more!

Matty B enjoyed his public holiday a little too much so took the night off recording. Luckily Lach and the Sherpa have no lives and were on hand to break down the latest in the wide world of sports, from Galvin mania spreading across the telecast, through Ronaldo's plan to never let Messi get too far ahead of him, all the way to a sprinkle of Tasmanian politics, this ep has it all!

All three lads back together for some good jovial robust conversations about all things sport and apparently, also obscure rhymes from the 1950's... Who do you think would win between a Goat and a Dog? Lach has some dated movie recommendations, Sherpa has unwarranted opinions about professionalism in sport and Matty B struggled to rein in the chaos. Great episode, please enjoy!

No Matty B for today's ep so we get another Lach and Sherpa classic as they hold down the fort! Apologies for the crappy audio, the boys went for a remote recording like back in the good old days and Lach never uploaded / didn't capture all of his audio so we have to make do with what we have (the Sherpa's trying his best guys but is getting absolutely no help from the "talent"). It doesn't stop the lads having a laugh and breaking down the final week shakeout of the EPL, Ange sticking to his word, the Bazelinka Bowl and the latest contract sagas and trade news in the NRL; plus the age old question, what do you do when Ponga is back?!

The Sherpa finally rejoins the boys and immediately begins to frustrate Lach with his competence, though surprises all with his geographical knowledge of Canada. The boys react to the blues and maroons origin team announcements, go deep on their feelings on different draft formats and test out whether the Sherpa is only a Barclays kinda man after all.
