Another summer blockbuster season is over and with it our usual annual round up, review and debrief of the US Box Office. We'll be counting down the top 10 movies of the summer, our thoughts on the ones we saw like Superman and the Fantastic Four and then getting into a few entries that didn't quite make it, like the Naked Gun remake and the latest entry in the Conjuring series.

Before all that though, we thought we'd start off with some gadget talk for a change, namely Marcus's new TV and Rob's new iPhone Air.

It's that time of year again when we try to predict which movies will rule the summer. Can Disney work their live action magic once again with Lilo & Stitch or will it be the turn of Dreamworks to capitalise on the same kind of phenomenon with How to Train your Dragon?

Meanwhile, it's a two horse race for Marvel after last year's strike-felled showing, and that's without even mentioning Captain America: Brave New World, which we check in with, amongst a bunch of other moves to grace our eyeballs so far in 2025.

We were gonna get into TV as well (since face it, that really has been where it's at so far this year), but we had to pause our witterings to deal with a cat-based emergency, so that will have to wait for a bit.

We'll definitely be back before our end-of-summer results show though. There can be only one... and all that... jazz?

This week we’re reconvening after a summer movie season we once again failed to accurately predict and therefore once again commiserating over how badly we did on the Summer Movie Wager this year! We also get into some Alien Romulus, which managed to make the cut despite only releasing a few weeks before the labor day finale, and also the very long awaited Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, which also would have featured had it not missed the SMW window entirely. Still, a massive comeback for Tim Burton and Michael Keaton just rips it up again in that role as you might expect.
