The Young Parent's Project was founded in 2006 by mum and nutritionist Nina Ross, inspired by her work with pregnant teenagers and her own sister becoming a parent at eighteen.
Whilst working on a youth support programme for pregnant teenagers Nina saw that the diet and nutrition of the young women was extremely poor. Time, money and a lack of awareness all contributed to this, resulting in weight issues, mood swings, aggression and depression.
