2 Timothy 3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

The ways of the Lord are not written or crafted on the stone but He chooses how He flows. That is why sensitivity to the flow of the Holy Spirit is key to your enjoyment of spiritual activities.

It is the presence (His moving upon our hearts) of God that provides life, power, excitement, and joy in any spiritual activity.

Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I [am] God...

Every time you are faced with challenges and God asks you to be still, He is asking you to trust in Him, be confident, and have faith in Him. So God reduces you to a place where you are compelled to totally depend on Him continually.

The nation of Israel was under the nation of the Midianites as slaves because of their disobedience and God allowed them to be impoverished and begun to live in caves Judges 6:6

Judges 6:12 And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, "The LORD [is] with you, you mighty man of valor!"

Judges 6:13 Gideon said to Him, "O my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where [are] all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, 'Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt?' But now the LORD has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites."

Their disobedience caused God to withdraw and the enemy gained an upper hand over them. But God is always gracious, merciful, and covenant-keeping God.

God reduced thirty-three thousand men to three hundred men. In such a situation you are compelled to throw yourself in the arms of the Master and that is when you see God's best coming out of you.

1 Samuel 14:6 Then Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, "Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the LORD will work for us. For nothing restrains the LORD from saving by many or by few."

As far as God is concerned, numbers are not an issue, whether they are few or many, as long as a man or woman aligns themselves with the purpose and the will of God, you will always prevail.

Jonathan and his armor-bearer prevailed against an entire army without a weapon and his obedience granted an entire nation victory.

It is not about numbers, it is staying still in the will, alignment, and the word that the Lord placed upon your life that grants victory (1 Samuel 14:15).

Hebrews 11:6...,] for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and [that] He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Thank God for yesterday but deal with God based on the now attitude. Let the 'now sense' drive your dealing with God.

Even if He spoke yesterday, inquire whether what He spoke yesterday will sustain you for today because God is continuously speaking.

If what He spoke yesterday is the same for today, go ahead with it, or otherwise, you may end up missing on the Lord based on old instructions. If Abraham had relied on what God had told him before he climbed the mountain, he would have slaughtered his son right there. He kept hearing God, you must always believe God for the now John 5:19

Revelation 3:1..."I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.

This church was riding on what happened yesterday and lost track of what God was doing now. Many believers are in this category and have lost out because of this.

If you do not approach God on the ground that "He is", you will end up staying in history when the Holy Spirit has moved on long ago.
