Podcast 100
The Democrat Party held their first debate for the month of October. This debate shared the ideas of the top tier candidates for the new Democrat Socialist Party. Socialism has taken root in the Democrat party and has now begun its power grab. Ideas like “Medicare for All” and tax the rich are battle cries and will tax the middle class. Podcast 100 is going to discuss why Socialism has invaded the Democrat party and how this will destroy America.
Key Points From the October Debate
For the first time this year, Elizabeth Warren was frequently called out and criticized by her rivals. Warren has taken the first place spot from former front runner Joe Biden. Biden called out Warren for her health care plan. He stated, that her plans were “vague.” For the most part, he is right
Warren refused to discuss her plan to raise taxes. Constantly we were told that people’s costs would go down. First, we all know this is not true. While you may not pay for health insurance, you will pay in taxes. Tax rates would have to drastically increase on the working people of this country.
Common Sense Approach to Medicare for All
Let us just take a common-sense approach to this problem. The 400 richest Americans’ net worth was $2.7 trillion in 2018. Just so you know there are 585 billionaires in America. If our government were to take every cent that the billionaires have it would be no more than $3 trillion. Now let’s apply the math we discussed in podcast 100.
The Urban Institute, a center-left think tank highly respected among Democrats, is projecting that a plan similar to what Warren and Senator Bernie Sanders are pushing would require $34 trillion in additional federal spending over its first decade in operation.
Keep in mind that billionaires are already paying taxes. So we can remove what they pay into the system out because the government is taking it all in our equation. That being said our one time wealth grab will not cover the first year of cost. Is this not the idea we heard from Warren and Sanders in the October Democrat debate? So then who does the burden of the cost fall to?
Medicare for All: Tax Millionaires
The next step to achieve the $3.4 trillion dollars a year cost will go to millionaires. America has roughly 14 million millionaires. This includes those in congress. The average net worth of a congress member is $1.4 million. All combined totals would be roughly $20 trillion. So by adding all millionaires and billionaires net wealth together, we have roughly gathered no more than $25 trillion.
The taxes collected from these two groups are depleted.
