In this episode, Andrew Moullin discusses the four pillars of becoming a professional in any field. He emphasizes the importance of mentality, fitness, tactics, and technique. He explains that mentality is the foundation and requires aligning your mindset with your goals, having the confidence to apply what you learn, and persevering through challenges. Fitness is about building your mind and body together, focusing on the specific physical abilities needed for your goal. Tactics involve understanding your role within the team and how your team plays. Finally, technique is the last pillar and should be sharpened after developing the other three pillars.

The podcast discusses the two types of motivation, intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic motivation is defined by three subgroups: mastery, autonomy, and purpose. Tapping into these subgroups can lead to improved engagement, creativity, and prevention of burnout. Studies show that athletes who rely more on intrinsic motivation are more consistent in their motivation. Creating habits out of motivation can help to make good decisions without thinking and create a lifestyle of improvement. The overjustification effect suggests that the introduction and subsequent lessening of external rewards can affect a person's internal desire to perform a task. The speaker is creating a program that encapsulates these concepts.

In this episode, I share my personal experiences and tips for beating laziness and achieving challenging goals. I talk about how I challenged myself to do 1000 push-ups in a day and how achieving that goal helped me push my boundaries and develop a new sense of what I was capable of.
I also discuss the importance of consistency and how small, consistent efforts can compound over time to produce significant results. I share my thoughts on delayed gratification and how delaying rewards until after the work is done can help with motivation and prevent laziness from taking over.
Throughout the episode, I answer some common questions about motivation and goal-setting and provide practical advice for anyone looking to push themselves and achieve their own goals. Whether you're an athlete, a student, or just someone looking to improve yourself, I hope this episode inspires and motivates you to push past your limits and achieve your full potential.

Connor grew up in St. Louis, a Soccer Hub here in the United States, and amazingly enough he fell in love with Goalkeeping straight away. He later went on to play at Creighton University and got drafted to Real Salt Lake as the 65th overall pick in 2016. He bounced around a few teams before landing where he is now, Miami. I asked Connor a lot about goalkeeping, but most importantly tried to get into the mind of a seasoned Veteran and a consummate professional.
In this podcast we talk about how important it is to break past your comfort zone. "Nothing great comes from within your comfort zone!"

I was able to sit down with my good friend and Somalian International Mohamed Awad to talk about the mental side of the game. Mo and I went to college together and were roommates during our time there. We went on to play in the National Tournament and made it to the Round of 16 where we lost to eventual Finalists Wake Forest.
In this podcast we talk about how important the mind is and how it helped him to achieve the success he has been able to accomplish since college!
