And now, something different than our usual fare. Just in time for Valentine's Day: The story of a circus clown whose betrayal by his lover drives him stark, raving mad. An Opus in 5 minutes.
"CLOWN THROWS A FIT"
The clown turns manic, thrashing in rage over his betrayal. A merry-go-round of emotions, finally, he cries out in pain.
Ah, clowns. How they only laugh on the outside. It masks the sound of their anguish inside.
Then he sings his tale, which comes from a place found only at the end of love.
"THE OLD MAN AND CIRCUS"
"There's a circus in town - it does magic!
It travels around but comes back to the town
it was damned from before.
It comes whenever you secretly call it.
Your living a lie is now over.
The circus moved into town.
There's an old man presiding
who whispered things enticing
you wished for that lured your heart
far from mine.
But all circuses pack up and leave town.
He'll take your soul that you gave up
the day you left me behind.
You doomed the love that we had between us.
All for the old man and circus."
