What happens when the old way of living, thinking, and doing church can no longer carry the new life Jesus brings?

In Mark 2:18–22, Jesus uses three powerful pictures: a wedding, a patch, and new wine in new wineskins. His message is clear: He did not come to slightly improve the old life. He came to make us new.

This lesson challenges us to move beyond just talking about grace, welcome, mission, and new life — and to actually live as changed people who carry the good news of Jesus into the world.

A church can talk like new wine and still live like an old wineskin.
