Thanks for joining us for this episode of That’s Why We’re Friends. The podcast is created for women in the oldish season of life, where we get real & vulnerable about all things faith, family, our bodies, health & everything in between.
If you’re looking for a space to laugh & cry about the real stuff, this is it! —----
This week on That’s Why We’re Friends…
In this episode, we continue our conversation around freedom and the Father’s heart by talking about the difference between feelings and truth.
So often we wait to feel free before we start living free, but true freedom in Christ is not based on emotion. It is rooted in truth. We talk about what it looks like to acknowledge our feelings without allowing them to become the final authority in our lives.
We discuss the importance of putting faith first, facts next, and feelings last, and how God’s Word helps anchor us when emotions try to pull us into fear, shame, discouragement, or bondage.
We also talk about practical ways to keep truth in front of us through Scripture, speaking truth aloud, community, and consistently returning to God’s Word so His truth becomes planted deeply in our hearts and minds.
This episode is a reminder that even in seasons where we feel stuck or are struggling, we are still fully loved and fully free in Christ. Freedom is not something we earn when life feels easy. It is already ours through Him.
