Abi grew up in the UK where drinking is more a right of passage than taboo. Between that acceptance of drinking, her love of rock music and wanting to be like a real life Penny Lane. Anyone who has seen Almost Famous knows where this is going.. Abi became a groupie! They like to say bandaids, but I’ve heard it both ways. She eventually spends almost a decade drinking heavily daily living as a bartender all over Southeast Asia including Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. Eventually making her way through Australia, NYC.. well, Long Island.. up through Canada to land in a big circle back to the UK as quarantine began and so did her journey to sobriety!
