Fresh off the success of his sophomore film Longlegs, director Ozgood Perkins is on a roll. And a bloody one at that. 

Perkins is back with an adaptation of a Stephen King short story, The Monkey, and if you’ve seen the trailer you can see where this is heading. 

The tropes are there: twins (never a good sign in a horror film), a creepy monkey, blood, tons of blood actually, and a healthy dose of dark comedy.
