What does it take to make an award-winning film, and how do festivals shape the industry?
Amanda and Nell break down Awards Season - from the Oscars to Cannes, Sundance to the Berlinale - exploring how these events celebrate creativity, influence careers, and shape the entertainment landscape.
They are also joined by Joe Martone, a Los Angeles-based percussionist and educator who embodies the spirit of a creative entrepreneur.
Joe’s impressive career spans film, TV, theatre, and recording. He’s played on Netflix’s Fubar, Amazon’s Emergency, and Justin Chon’s Blue Bayou, as well as albums like Danny Elfman’s Big Mess and John Daversa’s Grammy-nominated Kaleidoscope Eyes. Joe has performed in over 40 musicals, ballets, and operas, and you may also have heard his work on The Voice, American Idol, HBO’s Perry Mason, and Disney’s The Mandalorian.
