Sydney has been in lockdown since June 2021. Muslim and diverse communities in the Western suburbs were hit the most and have been recording high COVID case numbers. The government started enforcing strict COVID restrictions in those areas of concern while a relaxed approach had been seen in other areas of Sydney. This has, therefore, spiked tensions amongst those diverse ethnic communities. In this episode, we interview the North West Metropolitan Region Commander, Acting Assistant Commissioner Brett McFadden to discuss whether there are double standards at play. We also speak to Ramia Abdo Sultan (Lawyer) who will explain our rights when it comes to COVID restrictions rules.
