Diana finds herself tied up, and negotiating with two creatures who have decided they hate her and want her gone. When we open this chapter, it's hard to say how she'll wriggle herself out of this mess. As we saw in A Discovery of Witches, in the oubliette scene, a flash to her past brings clarity to who she is and what she's capable of.
