The Open Call Podcast hosts conversations centered around contemporary art and is hosted by Laura Tanner and Anne Stagg. We share images of the artwork we discuss on our Instagram at #the_open_call_podcast. Another feature is that we ask each guest to give shoutouts to other artists and we feature those artists on our Instagram too. In this episode Laura and Anne head to New Orleans, Louisiana to talk with Cristina Molina. Cristina is a conceptual artist with a background in psychology and theater. Her work spans textiles, photography, video, installation, and performance. She presents her work through the lens of strong women calling into question many traditionally male-dominated narratives along the way.  We get a deep dive into some of her projects and hear about how the pandemic is impacting her studio practice.
