Each home is different, isn’t it? Some are organized and spick-and-span. Others leave mothballs in the corners and the grass hasn’t been mowed in a year. But no matter what a house looks like physically, the family who lives there should always stay organized!

I’m not here to give housekeeping tips. I’m here to remind you that if organization is ever crucial, it’s during the adolescent years. Mom and Dad need to prepare for the turbulence that comes with teenagers, and set in order their belief system as a family.

When beliefs, age-appropriate rules and consequences are decided in advance, you can effectively address behavior issues when they surface.
