Did you know that evangelism began 230 years after Adam was created? Until then, all God-stories were shared within the family bond. Faith was practically a private matter. There were no public worship, services, sharing or outreaches. But private faith alone could not prevent an evil, secular, morally corrupt society from emerging as a dominant culture. The need arose for public, declarative faith to pull wayward people back into the fold of fellowship with God.
