In the summer of 2003, a 13-year-old girl called 911 from a cordless phone in her bedroom. She told the dispatcher something was wrong with her father. She said he wasn’t acting like himself. That he looked like her dad. Sounded like her dad. But that he wasn’t… right. When police arrived, they found no signs of forced entry. No crime scene. No intruder. But what they did find downstairs in the basement caused one officer to vomit on the spot. Because what this family had been living above for weeks was something that nobody saw coming.
