As Denver’s most luxury hotel, The Oxford Hotel boasts a rich and storied history. Originally built in 1891, this Queen City of the Plains superstar still shines brightly. Just two years after completion, the Panic of 1893, which closed silver mines, banks, and crippled some railroads. The Panic of 1883 brought an economic depression to Denver and threatened the Oxford Hotel. Luckily, the hotel emerged ready for more challenges.
