Today, we will be discussing the pandemic, COVID-19, and the public health issues surrounding it. We will be learning about the spread of the disease, the effects of human interactions, the vaccination process as well as progress and gaining a better understanding of how to stay safe and healthy during these uncertain times. In this interview, I get to speak with a phenomenal woman whose extensive background consists of 6 years of research experience, 4 years in Oncology, 2 years in Pathology, and six months of research into COVID-19 where she is on a team that looks into rapid test validation and convalescent plasma as a treatment strategy. Our guest speaker is an incoming PhD student at the University of Maryland School of Medicine who studies Molecular Microbiology and Immunology, Jernelle Miller, M.S.
