The Pandemic is Still Reshaping Senior Care

Listen Later

The coronavirus pandemic has left lasting marks on lives and industries across the globe. One of the sectors hardest hit by the pandemic is senior care — nursing homes and other senior care facilities were already facing big challenges when the pandemic arrived and proved to be especially devastating to the elderly. Now, as systems work to recover, the state and federal regulations that govern senior care are beginning to change for good. In this episode of SKO Unmuted, host Adam Back is joined by veteran healthcare attorney Ben Fiechter and Lisa Biddle-Puffer, Director of Regulatory Affairs at the Kentucky Center for Assisted Living, to discuss which once-temporary policies are being made permanent, and what else is in store for the industry.
