Anne’s whisper became a long silk thread, spun around a butterfly.  Caterpillar all too eager to wrap it from inside its body around like a cocoon.  Finally engulfed, it shed the paper-thin disguise it wore like body armor, wings unfolding —tree I —as if to say, "take this and be on your way."  It was beautiful like delphinium growing along the edge of an alder tree.
