This message explains Jesus’ famous parable of the Good Samaritan. This is a well known story, but there are differing levels of meaning, all of which are not immediately obvious. He told this story after being asked “who is my neighbour”.

Jesus would have shocked his audience by making the hero of the story a despised Samaritan. But why was there such hatred between the Jews and the Samaritans?

Jesus message condemns national, ethnic and religious prejudice. But Jesus story also calls us to reevaluate what we think serving God looks like.
