In Luke 19:11-27, Jesus tells the parable of a nobleman who gave one pound each to ten servants before going away to receive a kingdom. At his return, the nobleman rewards the servants that used there gifts to create a profit, and punished the servant who does not utilize this gift. We should strive to use the gifts we are given, to be profitable servants for the Lord, working for the Lord until he returns, so that we may gain a heavenly reward.
