Jesus would gave us a parable to bring us to our knees. We will discover that, as we bow, God will lift us up. Also, we will remember in this parable that there were two sons. One son went off to the far country. The other son was right there on the ranch. However, both sons were just as far away from the father. The majesty of this parable is that it reveals the heart of God and his passion to forgive. This forgiveness has lost none of its power 2,000 years later.
