1. Who was this parable directed towards?  Was the implication towards them positive or negative?

2. What does this situation reveal about the heart of the man who was requesting Jesus' intervention

3. Did the rich man in the parable have an authority figure at work in his life? Who was in charge of making his decisions?

4. Was there anything wrong with him "having a very fertile land and productive soil?"  Was there a deeper thought to this and how does thies reconcile with Jesus's words?
