Much of Jesus's teaching came in the form of parables which seem to bring both clarity and confusion to those who heard them. That's because the subject of so many of his parables—the kingdom of God—cannot be comprehended with the mind alone. Until we see the kingdom of God to be the greatest treasure imaginable, we will never turn away from the endless distractions that prevent us from seeing its true worth.
