    “Let Your Man Drive, Ladies”

I don’t care if you also love to drive.
There will be enough occasions where you will have to in this life:
    Enjoy the captain’s chair then,
But when you ride with family,
Let your man be the man again.

I know you’ll say that I’m being sexist,
    Misogynistic,
    But honestly, that isn’t true.
All that I’m really seeking is
What is best for both of you.

You see, when you drive and your man does not
There is something subtle that is happening.
    You are leading the family.
    Your man is not.
    That is emasculating.

Unless you want a beta simp to be the father of your house,
Unless you want your “king” to be nothing more than a little mouse,
It would behoove you both to just let him take the wheel,
For when else will he learn to be a man
And know exactly how that feels?

For if he drives, he must decern
Which way to go from where he should not,
He must conjure the confidence within himself
To be worthy of your love and trust.

    He must stop being lazy,
Allowing you to practice submitting to his will,
If you want a “king” leading your home
Submission is part of the deal.

You cannot say you want a man who will take good care of you
    While you take the reins,
    And dominate,
And subject him to your rule.
Your children need to see that daddy really is the man,
When mommy acts like one, instead, you’ll confuse their future plans.

    Your son won’t know what a man should do;
    For instance, he must lead.
Your daughter will think that being a “boss babe”
Is the only thing to be.

    Both will be lonely
    When they eventually
    Reflect upon their lives,

Because you refused to submit as wife,
And made him sit bitch, instead of drive.

    Send us Fan Mail

The Byzantine emperor Andronikos I Komnenos (reigned 1183–1185) and the island of Chios.

According to later Byzantine and post-Byzantine sources:

    • The island of Chios was suspected of disloyalty or resistance to imperial authority.
    • As collective punishment, Andronikos I allegedly ordered the mass castration of the island’s male population, particularly young boys.
    • The goal was to permanently cripple the island’s ability to rebel, both militarily and demographically.

This is exactly what the "elites" are trying to do to the USA: emasculate our boys and then we'll be right for the pickings...

Drugs, gambling, sex/porn addiction, video games, TikTok, social media in general are all being used to undermine our society through the stories being told to our young...

UNLESS we start telling a different kind of story to our children.

Chivalry is NOT dead, It isn't being taught.

Let me know what you think.

As always, God bless and Pacho's Chachos for life! Enjoy!

When China became a communist country, they had to first attack "the four olds" : ideas, culture, customs, habits. I see the same things under attack in our country. This episode goes through it all. Let me know what you think!

  • "the soldier, his wife, and the bum" by Charles Bukowski (read by Pasho)

    Send us Fan Mail

I really enjoy Bukowski: I hope you do too. Enjoy!

"the soldier, his wife, and the bum"

I was a bum in San Francisco but once managed

to go to a symphony concert along with the well-dressed people

and the music was good but something about the

    audience was not

    and something about the orchestra

    and the conductor was

    not,

although the building was fine and the

    acoustics perfect

I preferred to listen to the music alone

    on my radio

and afterwards I did go back to my room and I

    turned on the radio but

then there was a pounding on the wall:

    “SHUT THAT GOD-DAMNED THING OFF!”

there was a soldier in the next room

    living with his wife

and he would soon be going over there to protect

    me from Hitler so

I snapped the radio off and then heard his

wife say, “you shouldn’t have done that.”

and the soldier said, “FUCK THAT GUY!”

which I thought was a very nice thing for him

to tell his wife to do.

    of course,

    she never did.

anyhow, I never went to another live concert

and that night I listened to the radio very

quietly, my ear pressed to the

    speaker.

war has its price and peace never lasts and

millions of young men everywhere would die

and as I listened to classical music I heard them making love, desperately and

    mournfully, through Shostakovich, Brahms,

    Mozart, through crescendo and climax,

    and through the shared

    wall of our darkness.

  • "layover" by Charles Bukowski (read by Pasho)

    Send us Fan Mail

Here is another poem for your collection:

    "layover"

Making love in the sun, in the morning sun
    in a hotel room
    above the alley
    where poor men poke for bottles;
    making love in the sun
making love by a carpet redder than our blood,
making love while the boys sell headlines
    and Cadillacs,
making love by a photograph of Paris
and an open pack of Chesterfields,
making love while other men- poor folks-
    work.

That moment- to this. . .
may be years in the way they measure,
but it's only one sentence back in my mind-
    there are so many days
when living stops and pulls up and sits
and waits like a train on the rails.
I pass the hotel at 8
and at 5; there are cats in the alleys
    and bottles and bums,
and I look up at the window and think,
I no longer know where you are,
and I walk on and wonder where
    the living goes
    when it stops.

  • "A Story" by Li-Young Lee (read by Pasho)

    Send us Fan Mail

This is one of my all time favorites to teach in my AP Lit and Comp class! As a father, it is almost impossible for me to read it and not tear up.

One day our boys will leave their homes and become men. That is a beautiful thing, but it doesn't mean it wont hurt a little when it happens. One day there will be no more stories, no more advice, no more wisdom for a father to give his son before he goes out into the great wide open and develops his own.

I remember starring at my infant child, new born into this world, and already I felt this pain: crazy.

    "A Story" by Li-Young Lee

Sad is the man who is asked for a story
and can't come up with one.

His five-year-old son waits in his lap.
Not the same story, Baba. A new one.
The man rubs his chin, scratches his ear.

In a room full of books in a world
    of stories, he can recall
not one, and soon, he thinks, the boy
will give up on his father.

Already the man lives far ahead, he sees
the day this boy will go. Don't go!
    Hear the
alligator story! The angel story once more!
    You love the spider story.
    You laugh at the spider.
    Let me tell it!

But the boy is packing his shirts,
he is looking for his keys. Are you a god,
the man screams, that I sit mute before you?
    Am I a
god that I should never disappoint?

But the boy is here. Please, Baba, a story?
It is an emotional rather than logical equation,
an earthly rather than heavenly one,
which posits that a boy's supplications
and a father's love add up to silence.

    “One Day”

One day I will be dead

And all of the stories of all of the girls

The good, the bad, and the ugly

    Will all die with me.

Should I pass them on to my sons?

    To my daughter?

Should I ever admit there were others

Than their mother in my beds?

I am trying to preserve their innocence,

    Their belief in true love,

But I don’t feel like I’m fading into a face

I don’t want to admit is mine.

Time has been kind to me with my family

I’m afraid, one day, that the man I was

May appear again in the faces of my children.

If they knew, would they still love me?

    The man-whore desperate for attention,

    (Validation is so blasé)

A boy praying, one day, to be a man

Like my father who was not a whore.

    I wish I were better

They deserve better: all of them

My wife, my children, the memories of my past

One day I will die and maybe they’ll know me then

When they wear my tired face.
