Following his ordeal in the Canary Islands, Tate Addison unceremoniously returns to his life. As the days slowly drag on through the Covid pandemic, he watches from his lofty home in the Colorado Rockies while the American Star shipwreck finally collapses beneath the waves, seemingly leaving him marooned in the loneliness of a world without Kapera Imari. Tired and bored, Tate sets off with a revised vacation plan, a chance to sort things out and finally overcome his aversion to the sea. What begins as a relaxing moment in the sun quickly becomes an opportunity to retrace a few steps forward and a few steps back… into the future.
