The Path God Knows
“For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to ruin.” — Psalm 1:6.
God knows. That’s the difference. He doesn’t just know about us — He knows the path we walk. In the language of Scripture, to “know” means intimacy, relationship. God doesn’t watch the righteous from a distance — He walks with them. And because He walks beside them, their path ends in life. But the path of the wicked, though it may seem wide, free, and full of light, ends in destruction.
Today, many young people think they can walk any road they please — that God will understand, that there’ll be time to change later. But the psalmist is clear: there are only two paths. One is known and approved by God; the other is left to the chaos and ruin that sin brings.
Here’s the powerful truth: the wicked can be among the righteous — like weeds among wheat — and look the same for a while. They can go to church, say all the right words, even move others emotionally… but their heart isn’t surrendered. Yet the One who holds the sharp sickle in His hand is coming. And He will clean the field. He will separate what’s real from what’s only appearance.
But there’s good news: as long as there’s life, there’s an invitation. If you feel the weight of being far from God, if you know the path you’re walking has no direction, the Lord Jesus is calling you today. He doesn’t just point to a better road — He is the road. And when you receive Him, everything changes: your desires, your thoughts, your choices. He makes all things new.
It doesn’t matter how far you’ve wandered — what matters is who finds you now. The Lord knows the path of the righteous… and He wants to know yours.
Today, choose the path God knows. Don’t delay that decision. Close your eyes and talk to Him. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you — and He will make you a new creation. Because the end of the righteous is life. And that life begins when you say, “Lord, I want to walk with You.”
