The Path That Leads to Life
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” - Psalm 16:11.
Many people spend their lives searching for the right path — the path to happiness, success, and peace. Some think they’ll find it in money. Others, in relationships. Some chase it in social media likes, parties, or achievements. But in the end, everyone learns the same truth: nothing fills the emptiness inside except God.
David understood that. He discovered that true joy isn’t found in God’s blessings, but in God’s presence. He said, “You make known to me the path of life.” In other words, it’s God who shows us the way — the way that leads to life, not destruction. And that journey begins when we choose to trust Him more than we trust ourselves.
The joy David talks about isn’t the temporary kind that comes and goes depending on the day. It’s fullness — something so deep that it stays even in pain. Because those who walk with God might cry, but they’re never empty. They might stumble, but they never stay down.
And when he says, “At your right hand are pleasures forevermore,” he’s saying, “Everything I truly need is found in You, Lord.” God’s hands aren’t empty — they’re overflowing with eternal promises. The world offers pleasures that expire, but God offers joy that never ends.
Now think about this: what path are you walking? Have you been letting God show you the “path of life,” or have you been trying to find your own way?
Maybe you’re tired, lost, or unsure where to go. But God is calling you to walk with Him — not to trap you, but to set you free. He wants to give you something the world could never offer: real joy and lasting peace.
Today, He’s reaching out His hand. The question is: will you keep trying on your own, or will you let God lead you?
If deep inside you feel that longing for something real, something new, talk to God right now: “Lord, show me Your way. I want to walk with You. I want to live the joy that only Your presence can give.”
