Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. Don’t grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door!

Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy. (James 5:7-11)

Thank God that He is full of compassion and mercy! And aren’t you so glad that God is not like you and I?

For today’s episode, we will be talking about patience, and to do so, we will explore a plethora of verses that will shine a light on how we too can be disciples that endure. As we patiently proceed, we will begin to see God’s patience, and the patience that He gives to His disciples. Patience is a lifelong journey that emerges out of great suffering, disappointment, and the unexpected. But the one who endures to the end will be delivered (Matthew 24:13). And when we think for a second that God does not understand how frustrated we are as we are waiting on Him to do what we want, let us thank God that in all of His sovereign majesty, He has better endurance than you and I.
