On today's episode of the Only in OK Show, we discuss The Pawnee Bathhouse in Pawnee, OK.   The Pawnee Bathhouse is a beautiful, historic 1939 WPA sandstone rock bathhouse that overlooks a two-acre freshwater pool and features a sandy beach, water slide, high dive. The structure is built from hand-cut and coursed native stone and has an intricate system of stone steps and walls leading from the building to a swimming area below. Located at Pawnee Lake, the bathhouse is on the National Historic Register. Picnic sites and beach umbrellas are also available.   Pawnee is a friendly little town with a proud past and a bright future of renewed spirit and enthusiasm. The splendor of the old west - "Cowboys and Indians" are still very much alive today. The magnificent old buildings stand today as monuments of a time gone by. The historical pioneer days are waiting to be rediscovered.
