From Alaska to Maine to Florida, as of May 2018, 29 states and the district of Columbia allow the use of marijuana for medical purposes. 9 states and DC permit its recreational use. 17 states have removed penalties for the use of CBD products for medicinal reason but not necessarily the use of medical marijuana. Pet owners, be aware all of these rules and regulations refer to people and not pets. You may be wondering why your veterinarian hasn’t discussing this topic with you.
